Hulk Hogan died with ‘no interest' in family

An American professional wrestler and media personality, Hulk Hogan never met his grandchildren before his death on July 24.

According to the son-in-law, Steven Oleksy, an American Ice hockey defenseman, stated that the American wrestling legend did not have any interest in meeting his estranged daughter, Brooke Hogan, an American media personality, and her twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene. He died at the age of 71 because of a heart attack.

The NHL player Oleksy said in an interview that he had sent messages to the Hulk once again to find out where he was, but he showed no interest in that. Oleksy also added that he and Brooke were moved to Florida in order to get close to the Hulk because he was getting older and also struggling with a poor health condition.

He explained that Brooke was there in every surgery of the Hulk that had been leading up to the last two years. She would fly on her own and take care of her dad, and that made a lot of sense. He further stated that no one understood the body, procedures, medications, and everything about Hulk better than Brooke.

This statement comes after Brooke pays tribute to her father on her Instagram account to address the few things that were rumoured regarding their bond and estrangement.

Brooke wrote that there was a whole series of phone calls with her father that no one will ever hear, know, or understand. She added that her father disclosed her issues that were weighing on his heart, both personal and business-related. She offered him to be like a raft in a place where she could be in whatever capacity he needed, and she told him that he has her support. She begged him to rest and take care of himself.

Brooke was the daughter of Hulk and his first ex-wife, Linda. Brooke stated that they had been going through almost 25 surgeries together, and then all of a sudden, her dad did not want her at the surgeries, things started to go covered under a thick veil, and she started to feel like there was a force field around him that she could not get through.

Brooke concluded her caption by explaining the things that created a distance between the father and daughter duo by saying that her father was telling her these things that being so vulnerable with her and hearing her pleas, then suddenly something between them was shifted. Her father chose this part for himself, which tore at his spirit. She felt disconnected, and what followed was a respectful disagreement that impacted her emotional and mental health and made her stressed.
