Karz reunited with the original Matilda cast in 2013 for an Afternoon tea Matilda reunion. Later on, his interest in biology and chemistry led him to study biochemistry and eventually graduate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Jimmy Karz only did a few projects before retiring in 1998. He appeared in the Wedding Singer as a boy, Adam Sandler calls Jimmy Karz, who used to be considered the Studliest Kid at a bar mitzvah. According to the New Zealand Herald, Karz worked as a production associate for MTV News for two years and realised that he wanted to do more service-oriented work. At that time, he was really into community gardening at the time, and then he began volunteering to teach people from low-income communities to grow their own food. He also got different offers in a hit movie as a child actor, which further helped him to grow his career, but Karz chose to stay away from the limelight and wants to focus more on acts of service and community that gave him a sense of satisfaction and purpose. He expressed that the pressure of the industry was real as well as acquiring fame at an early age, which can be off-putting to child actors.
