The Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne passed away on 22 July. After the news, tributes from the A-list friends, close family members and adoring fans are pouring in.
The heavy metal singer passed away at the age of 76, after two weeks of his final farewell performance in Birmingham, he and his wife were unable to fulfil their annual wedding tradition.
In 2023, former music manager Sharon on social media platform Instagram shared a picture from her wedding day in 1982 and revealed how they marked their marriage. Sharon wrote in a caption that Ozzy and she were married in Maui in 1982, so they went for vacation once a year to Maui, as it is such a close place for them.
In a photo, Sharon was wearing a boho wedding dress with a sheer panel on the chest, a high neck, and a full-length skirt. It was coupled with a complex lace veil. Meanwhile Ozzy was wearing a white suit and unkempt blonde hair.
They first met in 1970 when Black Sabbath considered taking Don Arden, Sharon’s father, as their manager. They both got together when Sharon became the manager of Ozzy in 1979.
Ozzy and Sharon married three years later, months after Ozzy finalized his divorce with his first wife, Thelma Riley. They never denied their relationship, as it had its ups and downs, and Ozzy experienced substance abuse.
By the time in the year 2013, they had welcomed all three children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, when there were rumours of a divorce.
They briefly separated their ways as the report of disloyalty of Ozzy was surfacing in May 2016, but by the end of July, they got back on track. Their separation was written as a hurdle on the journey by Ozzy.
During the interview, Sharon said that she forgives him as it's going to take a long time to trust, and they have been together for almost 34 or 36 years of marriage, and she cannot think of her life without him.
The couple reaffirmed their marriage in 2017 by renewing their vows, and this ceremony took place in Vegas on Mother’s Day. During that time, the “Crazy Train’’ singer said in an interview that for him, this was their actual wedding and he will always remember this one. He said that they both have gone through a lot, and this just feels like a new beginning.
Sharon states that he made a huge mistake, and he is nothing without Sharon. He is honestly affirming that he truly loves his wife and has never loved anyone other than her.
Sharon candidly spoke in an interview that it was difficult to rebuild trust, and she cannot imagine her life without Ozzy. In an interview, Osbourne said that their wedding ceremony was so beautiful and they fell in love all over again.
