American Eagle is standing by Sydney Sweeney after the ad controversy.

The American eagle took the side of Sydney Sweeney after the current campaign of ads, which underwent a challenging situation from critics. The actress also got indicted for encouraging racial communications.  

The title of the campaign was Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans in which the model, named Euphoria, aged 27 years, plays her part as a star model for promoting the fall jeans collection. But some critics referred to this title as the great genes. The critics perceived this word as a pointed statement to the root of Sweeney’s European.

Salon reported the slogan of this campaign and explained that this phrase has a historical record to use for celebrating thinness, attractiveness and whiteness. The salon report further said that this kind of marketing strategy does not make any sense to the purpose. 

On the other hand, American Eagle talked about the criticisms that have been made to the campaign. On Friday, she defended the campaign by making a post on her Instagram account, where she said that Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans and the campaign is always about her jeans or herself, not for any other purposes. 

She continued her statement, where she motivated others and herself to continue this AE jeans fashion trend with more confidence. She also mentioned that the looks of jeans are made for all. 

In the campaign, one video was displaying Sydney zipping her jeans upward in a lying down position. Sydney showed her opinion by comparing the different colours of jeans with her parents' genes. She also said that from parents to descendants, the traits must be passed down with the colour of hair and personality. She also said that her jeans are blue, which reflects the colour of her eyes. After this statement of hers, the narrator repeated the title of the campaign Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.

The campaign ad was not only made to get viewers. It was made for the jeans company by following their instructions. The title of this ad caused online critics by linking it with the propaganda of Nazi and Eugenics. As one person writing, American Eagle and Sydney Sweeney were promoting the Aryan race and Nazi propaganda, which will not help them in 2025.

For those who are not aware of the situation, eugenics refers to using particular breeding that improves the human Competition. A further statement was made in which the NH promoted the supremacy of the Nazi party, which was influenced by the white people.
