A brush with death was experienced by Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen at that moment when they were enjoying their life. The flamboyant interior designer, also known as the former changing rooms star, experienced drowning a year ago, during Netflix’s Celebrity Hunt off Costa Rica. In this reality show, he was pulled beneath a raft and luckily survived because Bear Grylls dragged him to the surface.
Laurence recalled the moment by saying that he was close to the disastrous situation and expressed his feelings about how he averted that moment. He further talked about his condition, he felt at that moment like he was not able to breathe or find any way to come out, just left frightened from the situation.
By making fun of his old memory, he laughed on considering himself a James Bond, but in reality, he was more like an old Grand Pig.
Jackie clearly can recall her husband’s emotional phone call after he experienced that incident. She also shared about Laurence`s emotional situation, where he was all in tears.
Jackie also felt emotional while talking about that incident. She also said that whenever something like that happened again then it felt like PTSD to them. She further explained that thinking about the past is more horrible than feeling it in the first moment.
Jackie talked more about her husband’s daring stunts, like crashing a hot-air balloon in Spain to a microlight flight in Northern Ireland. She also added Lawrence`s fear of water.
Jackie further revealed that her husband, Lawrence, is not likely to be in the sea and also not likely to be out of his depth. Jackie shared her feelings about how relieved she was at the moment, when after watching the whole episode, he found his husband alive, which she considered one of his nine lives.
She further clarifies her intentions not to allow him something like that again. She also said, by agreeing to Lawrence`s own words, that he is a Grandpa pig
After that incident, Lawrence and Jackie enjoyed being the funny grandparents of their grandchildren. This reintroduced appreciation for life is obvious in the Llewelyn-Bowens` vibrant Cotswolds manor, where they all started living with their two daughters with their husbands and their grandchildren. They also said that for the past five years, they shared an electric home with ten family members.
From their family members, they introduced each person’s name, like the elder daughter`s name was Cecile, whose husband`s name was Dan, who was a publisher and lived in a garage block with children together. Dan introduced his child named Albion, who is 8 years old and Demezia who is four years old. The second daughter`s name is Hermione, who works for a company design and her husband, Drew, who is a financial consultant, lives in another wing with their children, named Eleanora, an 18-month-old and Romilly, a three-year-old
Laurence leads the family interior design company after his fame on the 1990s TV show Changing Rooms. Now he is known for his textile wallpapers, which are displayed at their old 17th-century house that Lawrence and Jackie bought in 2007.
Laurence recollects the old memories and said that this is how families were created 150 years ago. Lawrence added one point in his statement that those families are crazy who struggled to build their family, where they got all the love, a garden where they can get a lot of love and experience as well. Laurence ended his statement with joy that their whole generation was a good one.
